Early Orthodontic Intervention

Why early orthodontic intervention?

During the mixed dentition phase (when baby and adult teeth overlap), children’s jaws and airways are still developing. Addressing concerns at this stage allows us to guide proper growth, create space for teeth, and support healthy breathing and sleep. Early functional orthodontics helps prevent more complex issues later, such as crowded teeth, jaw pain, airway obstruction, or poor facial development, while setting children up for long-term wellness.

Methods of Expansion

Palatal Expander

A device that gently widens the upper jaw to create space for teeth and improve breathing.

Bonded Expander

Similar to a palatal expander, but secured to the teeth for a more stable fit and effective widening of the jaw.

Myobrace®

A removable appliance that trains proper breathing, tongue position, and oral habits while guiding jaw and teeth development.

Clear Aligner Expander

A nearly invisible appliance that gradually widens the jaw while straightening teeth for better alignment and airway support.

Myofunctional Therapy

Our Myofunctional therapy is integral to orthodontics, airway health, and growth development. By addressing detrimental habits, we ensure lasting results, reduce relapse risk, and support lifelong wellness through personalized care.
